Highland Rim Sporting Club's motto is the reason for its founding and our guiding compass into the future. Much more than a hunting club, HRSC was formed primarily as a collection of men who prize, exemplify, and defend our foundational principles of tradition, fraternity, and virtue. We are building a close-knit, private retreat for such men in the heart of American pioneer country, a place to enjoy, strengthen, and propagate the customs and values that give us the high ground.
Tradition
This land was settled by hunters and held with rifles. We are heirs to a proud tradition of self-reliance and frontier courage in the hills of Tennessee, but that tradition does not sustain itself untended. We honor, enjoy, and transmit an American heritage secure in its origins and confident in its future. We aim to steward this tradition in our community and beyond through championing our civic cause, local conservation efforts, advancement of youth sporting, and community engagement events.
Fraternity
We are a company of men bound by love and gratitude for the nation, land, and way of life built by our forefathers and given to us for safekeeping. Our club provides the gathering place for like-minded men to partner together in our task of perpetuating America while enjoying the best of American life.
Small groups of extraordinary men have accomplished staggering feats throughout American history. We are the rally point for the next generation of such a group, men worth calling friends and allies.
Virtue
We strive to be and to be among men of high character and high agency, leaders in our communities, forthright in word and deed. Members are accepted based on their good names and shared concern for the things we hold dear. We mean to cultivate a robust intellectual life and durable friendships forged through adventures on the land, conversations around the fireplace, and attendance at our events.
HRSC will be a place for sons to learn traditional manly arts, to make lifelong memories with their fathers, and to mature into a company of men worth knowing, befriending, and modeling. Our club will serve as a wholesome refuge for leading men of virtue and their families, a sturdy source of strength and cheer for generations to come.
